Welcome to the unofficial blog containing my notes from many of the talks given on May 24, 2013 at the 2013 Annual Clinical Day presented by the BC Society of Eye Physicians and Surgeons & The UBC Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences. Many of the complete lectures are contained on a password protected website for UBC Ophthalmology Grand Rounds but on my blog, my approach is to have my own notes along with some links to relevant articles that are either referred to in the talks or help explain the material better. I am a glaucoma sub-specialized Ophthalmologist and have a full time clinical practice at the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Clinic of the Geisel School of Medicine in Hanover, NH. I have a longtime interest in the use of technology to help in medical care as well as in Education. In addition, I was a very early adopter and developer of Electronic Medical Record systems who has lectured internationally on the topic of making the transition to EMRs in daily practice.
