Read MoreI've been using Twitter since Aug 2008 and have been getting more active in recent months as I begin to better understand how to use it to gather information. Yes, when it comes to getting one direction information, such as news stories before they hit radio and at least one day before they reach the newspapers, it has been great. But what of the interaction we look for in something that falls into the category of social networking?
Read MoreI was trying to hold back but now that it looks like the attempts in the U.S. to get meaningful healthcare to those who can't afford it looks like it is seriously being threatened, I have to throw in my two cents. No Twitter app is perfect for everyone but the bigger question is, what will it take for more people to understand what Twitter is all about when it comes to Ophthalmology or other fields of medicine?
Read MoreI started this site in 2009 to write about Glaucoma, Health IT (EMR, EHR), Technology and to host my podcast series "Talking About Glaucoma." There is a shortcut to this blog to make it easier to find http://iguy.tv/blog.
I am a glaucoma sub-specialized Ophthalmologist and have a full time clinical practice at the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Clinic of the Geisel School of Medicine in Hanover, NH. I have a longtime interest in the use of technology to help in medical care as well as in Education. In addition, I was a very early adopter and developer of Electronic Medical Record systems who has lectured internationally on the topic of making the transition to EMRs in daily practice.
