27May2011 Note: I am continuing to edit these articles and ‘publishing’ new entries as I complete each one. WIth the 74th Annual COS Meeting June 9-12, 2011 from Vancouver, I will be sure to finish editing last year’s articles and get ready for the new conference blog.
This study compared 677 POAG vs 104 PXFG using Trabectome with and without cataract extraction. The same post-op IOP at 12 months with PXFG having higher starting IOP therefore bigger drop for PXFG group. The most common complications were intraocular blood reflux, to be expected.
This talk dealt with the current epidemiological data on primary open angle glaucoma (POAG) including descriptive, prevalence, and incidence data, as well as the analytics, the WHY, including risk factors for incidence and progression. 26Jun2010 1015hrs presented at the COS Annual Meeting in Quebec City by Dr M Cristina Leske.
